The Neon Demon

She hopes that when she walks into a room that every eye is on her. She stalks her prey intently. She desires to be the most beautiful woman in the room. Her desire is for the world to feed her insecurity. Longs for every guy to get off on her beauty that’s why she exposes her body parts. She wants to be valued, adored, and loved at any cost. She seeks out individuals that will worship her like a goddess. She has an unnatural sense of self importance. Requires excessive admiration and attention. She is arrogant and Haughty. Takes advantage of others kindness. Fantasies about being the person with unlimited admiration. She purchases costly attire, name brands items and accessories to be admired. Has a unnatural sense of self entitlement. Her beauty is mystifying in a demonic sort of way. Her eyes a full with lust and desire. Most men are snared into her trap of sin. People often worship the ground she walks on. She wants the world to bow down to her very existence. And her name is VANITY "The Neon Demon."
Truthfully, how does a black woman fare in this beauty-paranoid urbanity?
The Daughters of Zion are now becoming “mature“ in the ways of the Most High. While others still marvel at the relics of being that symbol of beauty. You can see how this narcissism explodes the life nock of your existence. You gaze that image of beauty still stuck in your eyes, as you gaze from picture to picture wondering when it will be your chance, to imitate the greek god of narcissus, who tragically fell in love with the sight of his reflection, not realizing it was his own image in the water. Or the likes of Oscar Wilde’s depiction of the portrait “Dorian Gray” wish that he would never grow old but his soul was lost. Like most women that mere obsession into this filtered beauty showcased on the internet. The fascination with being beautiful has gone from desire to obsession. The biggest devil of them all, Satan - Lucifer was cast out of heaven because of pride in his beauty, after all, it was said he was the most beautiful of them all. Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Ezekiel 28:12 KJV
Beauty isn’t everything it’s the only thing so we are told. To be a recipient of beauty many would envy, kill, starve to death, stuff, tuck, or even sale their soul to the devil to look like me boasts the neon demon of Vanity., the god of pride, narcissism, self-importance, conceit, arrogance, egotism, worthlessness, presumptuous, and bigheadedness. It is safe to say that every woman wants to possess what she has. By the time I was 10 years old, I had heard an eruption of phrases that solidified me as being “beautiful“ or “pretty”, numerous times, being declared as such at this young age, it became embedded in my psyche. For young girls out there it is much better to learn to be smart or learn what it takes to develop your character. The character thing is something I learned much later but on the other hand, I was always smart and intrigued by knowledge. I often found myself, in that trap of consciously trying to impress people. Always concerned if they liked me or not. Bought them gifts to achieve lasting friendship but to my dismay they still envied me or hated me. If wasn’t until I came into the knowledge of the truth (about who I am and who the Most High is to me) about 5 years ago, that I realize that I hadn’t really been myself this whole time, the reflection in the mirror was in fact, “The Neon Demon: Vanity” and that was a huge wakeup call. You see this image of beauty that had men drooling and panting wasn’t really me. Eccentrically, I felt his eyes on me; almost boring a hole in my flesh, our eyes met. I thought to myself, “Another man beguiled by my physical attributes.” It actually made me happy to see his jaws-drop knowing that he would never have me. I am not that kind of girl to sleep with any man until marriage but I must admit that my fun came with him just looking at me. Here he comes, what will it be this time am I beautiful or sexy. Not knowing subconsciously that I was causing a man to lust by my attire, it was like a game to me. I loved the attention I got. My attire consist of long fitted dresses with a split down the side that classy but sexy edginess. The truth of the matter is that if a man notices a woman and finds her attractive, even in a sexual way, with all her clothes on. Then it is not the woman’s fault she is gazing on her beauty, but if she purposely sets out to cause him to lust after her beauty then it is an iniquity, and then with the action of sex it becomes sin.
So the world tell us to be more beautiful, erogenous and poised while governing your body by the way we sway our hips, exposing our breasts and rear end deliberately in hopes of manipulating men, arousing them sexually with one single glance. Letting other women or even mothers, tell you to wear seducing outfits in hopes of attracting men. There is much to be said about a woman who can humbly present herself in a modest way while everything surrounding her in based on how you look. She is bombarded with influences telling her to walk talk look dress and act like a woman with no maker, no guidance, no soul in an ignorant world, a bright light in the darkness! This breed of woman is extremely rare! But she exists, I am living proof now. If you are a woman that has no shame exposing herself by wearing tight or revealing clothes where your breast, thighs and even libia (camel toe) can be seen. Please reconsider your spirit and be truthful with yourself about just what you are really doing. Because what we say, do and how we dress effects others especially those that are younger and more impressionable, all young sisters you should see as your daughters. There is much to be said about a woman that presents yourself in such a way. You have the same body parts every other woman has. A man can easily get that somewhere else. There is always another female with more to share. What he can’t get is someone who has that unique personality coupled with the Most High’s character. It is your character that will keep him not your bottom size. If you notice, most women you see with these attributes, have no man with a house full of kids. It is your character that will keep him at the end of the day. Tight jeans, tight dresses, short shorts, and leggings leave nothing to the imagination only reveal the intimate details of your body. These clothing options are fashion equivalent of too much information. This gratuitous divulgence of assets repels where skin tight clothing or private bodily attribute revealers presumably with the hope to entice men. In layman’s terms, you know what you are doing and the Most High is watching. You will be judge ladies!
Ecclesiasticus 26:9-12 KJVA 9 The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty(prideful) looks and eyelids. 10 If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she abuse herself through overmuch liberty. 11 Watch over an impudent eye: and marvel not if she trespass(sin) against thee. 12 She will open her mouth, as a thirsty traveller when he hath found a fountain, and drink of every water near her: by every hedge will she sit down, and open her quiver against every arrow. The most High did NOT create our sisters to be bad bitches! But contrarily, to be women that fear the most High God and to be ashamed of exposing themselves. Ecclesiasticus 26:25 KJV 25 A shameless woman shall be counted as a dog; but she that is shamefaced will fear the Lord.
A real woman respects herself the devaluing that occurs on social media is disturbing. Females with nothing to offer use their good looks to achieve their agenda, they degrade themselves for attention. These females that show all their body on social media are whores, plain and simple, us men sure we look but these women we will never take them home to meet the family --- Aaron
Let me reveal to you a hidden truth, just because the typical ass kissing guy likes your looks through these social media or in real life, doesn't mean that he respects it. There's nothing honorable about 1,000 likes from a flock perverts who are staring at your ass, breast, thighs and pretty faces fully made up; imagining can they get you home and into their beds. You're no longer a woman in their eyes, you're an a whore, a thot, a piece of meat or a vain imagination in the mind of a whoremonger. You want to be sexy and feel beautiful, I get it. But being respected and loved should mean more. Beauty is in modesty, and a real man will never truly love a woman he can't respect. You can accomplish much more with a quality man using your brain, not your vagina. "Don't believe the likes". God-fearing men are leaders, they don’t chase booty. A woman doesn't need to show you her body to prove she's a woman. Doesn't need to walk around half-dressed to attract your attention. Doesn't need to sleep with you to prove her love. Doesn't need to be loud for you to listen to her voice. Doesn't need to fight you to reveal her strength. Doesn't need to argue to prove her education. Doesn't need to put you down to lift herself up. Doesn't need to say a word to prove that she's a woman, but most importantly, a real woman doesn't need you unbuttoning her shirt to get to her heart. She doesn’t need to open her legs to get appreciation. She does need to drive into that bible like her life depends on it, and her king will come.
In the 1900's They forced women to strip naked in a zoo for humans, now females do it willingly: Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst, Isaiah 5:13 KJV So tired of looking at the black women with the long flip weaves, high end sunglasses,, handbag, jeans, and overpriced stiletto heels. So boring carbon copy of the white women walking on rodeo drive in California. This look is so boring! --- Jackson
The world entices you with the lure of brand names, especially those high-end designer logos like Louis Vuitton and Hermes. It's not only that the more you care about impressing other people with your appearance, the more likely you will to overspend. In fact, the more focused you are on your own thoughts, feelings, and impressions you make on others, the more you'll seek outwardly-recognizable status symbols like handbags and overpriced clothing. Being vain is beyond just about looking good to others, but more importantly, about looking good to themselves. It’s a natural high. Social comparison theory, initially proposed by social psychologist Leon Festinger in 1954, centers on the belief that there is a drive within individuals to gain accurate self-evaluations. The theory explains how individuals evaluate their own opinions and abilities by comparing themselves to others in order to reduce uncertainty in these domains, and learn how to define the self. Following the initial theory, research began to focus on social comparison as a way of self-enhancement, introducing the concepts of downward and upward comparisons and expanding the motivations of social comparisons. Downward social comparison is a great coping process because it allows you to view a bad situation by looking at others who are worse off than you (poorer, less attractive, more stressed) and concluding that things aren’t really so bad. Upward social comparison can cause you to berate yourself unnecessarily because you feel that you’re being outdone by your neighbors, comrades, family, co-workers, and instagram-youtube-facebook friends. Your desire to impress people that could care less about, but not realizing that this disorder can promote psychological disorders.
The Bible even warns us of being haughty, arrogant, or narcissistic in the pursuit of physical beauty – Isaiah 3:16-24 KJV - “Moreover the Lord saith ,Because of the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton necks and wandering eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and make a tinkling with their feet; Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts….In that day the lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, the chains and the bracelets and the mufflers, the bonnets, and the ornaments. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the HEART. 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) Favour is deceitful, and beauty is VAIN: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. - Proverbs 31:30 KJV
If women love to vitiate themselves for attention, just imagine what they'll do for money. When you present yourself as a erotic entity to a man, of course that's how his perception of you will be. As a woman, you possess the exact same anatomy as every other woman does. There will always be someone else with a better body. Cajole him with your intellect and virtue. Keep your legs closed and you will be blessed with the quality man you seek.
You could be like Judith, Queen Esther, Deborah, Sarah, Susanna…. Our matriarchs of the bible, strong representation of women that loved the Most High in action, words, and deeds. In today’s society, everyone is looking for someone to worship and to follow. Unfortunately there is a lack of role models in today’s society. Unfortunately, most of the women that man drool other today are witches like most celebrity women that can’t compare to the spiritual sisters of the bible in looks or deeds. Beauty is more than your outer trapping, it is your character that resembles that of the Most High in action and deeds.
The woman of beauty and obedience…
Judith… The account of Judith life could be written in novels but its in the Apocrypha. It is omen to women like me, you know the widows. No biblical female has ever been endowed with such wanton seduction, suspense, and violence as the beautiful Judith. As the story unfolds, there is a war, a threat to the lively hood of the Israelites. Holofernes, the general of King Nebuchadnezzar, has laid siege to the Israelite town of Bethulia, where Judith resides, after her husband death. By the grace and the leading of the Most High God of Israel, Judith knows what she must do to preserve her people. After her beauty ritual, she lives the safety of her home and uses her womanly beautiful to seduce Holofernes, no sex but lowers him to his demise by her mere beauty. She decapitates him with his own sword, and carries his bloody head out of the enemy camp in her food bag to display on the walls of Bethulia to her people. Judith is all an inspiration, now that is a woman of beauty and obedience. (Judith, the King James Version bible with the Apocrypha.)
A woman of power and dignity….
Deborah….I remember some years back I wanted to do a movie about Judgment, the Most High judgment on the world and sin via the lives of a few people. When I think of Judges I think of Deborah, the righteous judges. Full of charisma and she was a prophet, adjudicating disputes of the people of that time. You know the Most High gave her a task to judge Israel. Her life focused on her military conquests. Judges Chapter 3 KJV Bible, focuses on her life. Deborah and her general Barak lead the Israelite army in a battle against the Canaanite king Jabin and his general Sisera. Definitely a ride or die chick. Now that’s a sister to write about… a woman of dignity and power!
The most beautiful woman in the world…
When I think of the Matriarch of woman, I think of Sarah, wife of Abraham, the grandfather of Jacob who is the father of the 12 tribes of Israel. I often refer to myself, as one of Sarah’s daughters. All Israelite women should aspire to be more like Sarah. Oh and the beauty of Sarah is beyond compare. That even at an old age, she was still beautiful enough to catch the attention of the Pharaoh. Abraham esteemed Sarah highly in terms of beauty. As recording in Genesis 12 KJV Bible, the account of Abraham, where he stated that Sarah was his sister, for the fear of the Pharoah killing him, to have Sarah… so he lied and claimed that she was his sister . So for all of you women that esteem yourselves, beautiful, think of Sarah, she was the real thing… The most beautiful woman in the world.
A woman of beauty and integrity….
Unfortunately I can relate to dear sister Susanna, who was accused of having sex with two men. The men lied, their lust got the best of them. I myself, have been accused of having sex with men I didn’t even know, but everyone around me know I was a virgin, saving myself for marriage. That doesn’t stop the liars, the ones that want to smear your good name. Just as the Most High sent Daniel to prove the innocence of Susanna, he set others to come to my defense. Susanna’s story… on a sizzling day, sweating like a hot popsicle, Susanna decides to bath, she believes she is alone, but she is being watching by two lusty voyeurs , who approach her than threatens to lie on her if she doesn’t act on their advances for sex. She chooses not to and they lie on her. The Most High raises Daniel to help on the defense of Susanna, a woman of integrity. The Story of Susanna is chronicled in the Apocrypha. Such a woman of integrity and beauty…
A chosen woman of destiny….
I could just say that this is the mother of our Savior, the Messiah period. Enough said, but hey she is remarkable for being Chosen to carry such a phenomenon. She is written about in the new Testament of the King James Version Bible. She is a model of discipleship and motherhood. Such a woman of destiny. Just like these daughters of Zion, you too can be a beautiful woman of destiny, integrity, dignity, and obedience. Follow their examples of purity and subjection to the Most High God of Israel. You don’t have to model after the celebrities. The 4 types of women:
Ms. Independent (The Feminist)
The “Independent woman” was first birthed during the Feminist Movement as a way for woman to have rights and be equal to men. Feminism in the United States began with 19th century activism in favor of women's voting rights. It gained speed and notoriety through the 20th and early 21st centuries. In general, feminism's course led to broader comprehensiveness with regard to race and social class. In 2010, Feminism in parts of the western world has gone through three waves. First-wave feminism was oriented around the station of middle- or upper-class white women and involved suffrage and political equality. Second-wave feminism attempted to further combat social and cultural inequalities. Third-wave feminism is continuing to address the financial, social and cultural inequalities and includes renewed campaigning for greater influence of women in politics and media. In reaction to political activism, feminists have also had to maintain focus on women's reproductive rights, such as the right to abortion. Feminism was created for population control, in fact it is evil, it premise is to set the woman against the men to separate the family. See (Chapter 11) the objective of planned parenthood. This movement lead to women exerting themselves other men, birthing the term “I don’t need a man.” “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:23 The independent woman is taught that she doesn’t need a man, when in fact she does. They are taught to hate men and their authority, their position as the head of the household. When protection and provision is absent it all goes bad. Are men really to blame for everything. Sure as young girls if no father figure is present, a girl for have no example to look to as to what a real man is. The mothers never taught their daughters to respect men. In reality, we need men like we need a toothbrush. Yes we do. Now before you throw me under the bus, here is why, it is the natural vein of what the Most High wanted. The woman is to run the home and teach the children, while the man is the bread winner. Many will say well that is old fashion or we are not in the stone age anymore. The truth is we were much better when women were homemakers. This is a great need at this day in time. Stay at home moms are often looked upon is lazy, unmotivated, or as dirt. So now a lot of women today feel that they could never be a homemaker, but by God's grace you can be that woman, because it is the Most High’s will. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan. 1Timothy 5: 14-15 Sure there are some instances when the woman must work: She is a widow, a single mother with no husband or the father of her children is no where around. In today’s time, most woman work because they want the American dream, the Chanel handbags, high dollar cars, the big house… want to look good to the world. But in the process, the marriage falls apart and the children are over looked. Yes a lot of the men want there wife to help provide for the family. This has never been the will of the Most High but through sin and being taught lies many people have been lead astray from the original plan. Your husband is to rule over you and you are to obey his authority. The independent woman has no desire to be submissive just to lead. The Most High ordained the man to be the head of the household. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:23 Our matriarch Sarah, submitted to her husband to the point of calling him Lord. Sarah stood by Abraham, and he had the wealth to take care of her. You didn’t see Sarah, punching a time clock at IBM every morning. She took care of the things pertaining to the home and her children. Working from home, is a full time job with taking care or your children the future leaders of the world, home schooling, chores of keeping her house clean, and preparing meals. So a housewife is not to be looked upon as a bad thing. It is the most honorable job you can ever have. The independent woman is a worldly perspective is not a biblical woman is honorable in the Most High’s eyes. The Most High commands every mother to love her children and her husband. To be a comfort to her husband and not a rottenness of his bones. Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. —1st Peter 3:6 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.—1st Corinthians 11:9 Ms. Stay at home Mom (The nurturer) The World says, “Stop living in your husband’s shadow.” or “This is old fashioned.” The Holy bible says, “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.” 1Timothy 5: 14-15 The subject of stay-at-home moms is one that has caused much controversy, especially in Western nations where many women work outside the home. There really are only two direct verses/passages that talk about a mother staying at home with her children. Titus 2:3-5 says, "Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." The other direct verse is 1 Timothy 5:14, which says, "So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander." Another translation for the phrase "to be busy at home" in the Titus 2 passage is "to be keepers at home." I looked on child rearing not only as a work of love and duty but as a profession that was fully as interesting and challenging as any honorable profession in the world and one that demanded the best that I could bring to it. ----Rose Kennedy Also consider some indirect verses. Proverbs 14:1 states that it is wise for a woman to invest in her home. While it is not necessary to be a stay-at-home mom in order to invest in your home, we see the priority that God places on the home and the woman's involvement. Clearly, the home is not to be neglected for the sake of outside employment. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 teaches the importance of constantly teaching our children. Of course, this is addressed to fathers as well as mothers. Staying at home with children would only give more opportunities to teach children God's ways. So it is a positive investment to be made in children's lives by applying this passage of Scripture literally. I have experience being a working woman and a stay at home Mom. The world says, “Stop living in your husband’s shadow, sadly that most of these people that make these statements are extremely naïve and unlearned. They give the stay at home mom, the scarlet letter, esteem her as being lazy or not motivated. The greatest gift you can give your child is you. The Most High never said to have other raise your children. He gave that commission to you. I thank the Most High that my late husband, stressed the importance of me being at home for him and my son. It was at this time that I came into the truth. It was a fulfillment that I never experienced being a writer or spokes model. Seeing my baby transform from a baby to a boy, those are the most relevant years its priceless. I would have missed so much if I would have worked that whole time. In the western world, so many strive to get that dream of success. It funny that when we die it will not matter the level of success that we achieved. I can own all the designer handbags, clothes, and shoes. Your draws maybe be filled with all the latest eye shadow palettes. In the garage of your expensive home you may have a fleet of exotic automobiles but the truth behind, the love of material things is that they don’t make you happy. It is thrilling for the moment but once you wear or use them the thrill is gone. It is only when we discover who we are in the Most High, that the entire puzzle comes together and you realize that nothing else matters. You began to see the whole picture. The Proverbs 31 woman…Her family never lacked anything. She maintained a proper balance, so her family never suffered. Her family was always her priority. While the Bible leaves women the choice whether to stay at home with the children or go to work outside the home, it certainly is a commendable thing for a mother to be at home with the children and devote herself to training them full time. Women are definitely encouraged in Titus 2 and 1 Timothy 5 to stay at home with their young children. Whatever a woman chooses to work or not, she must maintain her home as a priority and her primary sphere of influence. Ms. Beauty Queen Here she is Miss America… Miss Universe… Miss World… Miss Ultimate Beauty (that was me)… Let’s face it.. We all know one!.. But hey that is not what I am talking about at this time. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Ezekiel 28:17 “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 In this world there are many types of women, and the one in question is the Beauty Queen. The average run of the mill, next door neighbor, you tube personality, your relative, or the model on the cover of the magazine. The gorgeous girl that know her looks affect every aspect of her life, she knows she is gorgeous and let’s every around her know that. Her finances are spent on beautification of her physical attributes and not a dime spent on educating herself on the true meaning of her life. She boards narcissism with an ugly sinister personality. Not many can stand her or be in her presence for long. She comes across as insecure, aloof, and snobbish. She must be the center of attraction every where she goes. I know her because, once upon a time, that was me. I must admit that seems like a whole another lifetime ago. As a child, when times were bad, I would relish in my beauty. I know that sounds weird but being pretty helped out in the most awkward of instances I faced. I gave other pretty women there props, I was never one to be envious of anyone for any reason. I was filled with confidence, I was taught by the best to be the best. To me I was the best, no one was better. The difference between a Confident woman (proverbs 31 woman) vs. a Vain woman (ungodly woman) Confident woman captivates those around them in a selfless manner while the Vain woman is about getting all you can to make you visually pleasing with no substance.
Confident Woman
She is a woman of assurance of who she is in the Most High. She walks with her head up because she is Chosen. A woman of great faith. She called her husband Lord and treated him as such. She was a good mother. She kept her family healthy She had a servant’s heart. She handled the finances of home and purchasing. She doesn’t spend money on frivolous things that will go bad in a year. When she makes purchases it is to better her household. Her focus is not on her outer beauty but on your inner being.
Vain Woman
I need this in my life or I need to treat myself as a justification to acquire more stuff…. To look good or fill fulfilled. We think it will make us happy. The handbags, expensive jewelry, fancy cars, or trendy clothes. We give us a sense of entitlement to be esteem as we made it, we’re important, we have arrived but the reality is that material possessions don’t really contribute to everlasting happiness. Most people have the desire to impress others. Looking at what the Joneses have and wanting it. Use shopping as a addiction to compensate for our “want to impress” deficiencies. We erroneously look for buoyancy in the fashion that we wear or the automobile that we drive. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Matthew 6:19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." It is evident that 90% of world’s heart is in the wrong place.
Ms. Harlot
She is a whore. A seductive woman that dresses provocatively to lure men into her bed. Looking proudly in the mirror… “Your breasts are protruding out of your dress, you turn around to smooth the fabric down over your buttocks… “I look good”… so you think, I am sure that I will lure that unsuspecting male into my den of love tonight.” The notion is that this woman’s clothing make her a harlot, when in fact college educated women fit into this category as well. It is a mentality of the woman, her thought process. It is what the young people wear, that’s a myth. I think every woman knows before she leaves the house what reaction she will get from the men that cross her path. As a child, older men always conveyed to me, that I want a man to look you into your eyes, not my chest. They also, told me that I was beautiful, and never let a man sweet talk me into sleeping with them when they bring up that point. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1st Timothy 2:9 A women who dresses like a harlot advertises that she lacks good moral character, she want the attention of the men around. Not knowing that all they want is to get into her panties. The harlot is two fold because she wants to get in his underwear as well. You will never go home with him to meet his family. Just the other day, I saw a man looking at a girl walking into the store in a bikini, almost cause a 3 car accident. Now that lady knew before she got out of her car, the impact she would make on men. Some women surely want attention at any cost. There will come a time, when your life ends and where will you spend your eternity, will it be in hell, from you luring men into hell with your public exposure of your breasts or maybe even your butt. In “Apocalypse of Paul” it details the account of women that lead men astray, as in your will be hanging from your eyelids. What a horror. You see, the Most High is not playing with us. The Most High will pass a judgment on you. Nothing worse, then being around a woman that is so concerned with the men looking at her, she is wearing super tight jeans or a mini skirt, while her husband is sitting right next to her. Being a decent woman is not just by what you wear but your character, you can have a dress on to your knees but still are promiscuous in action and deed.
The Virtuous Woman
Authenticity, confidence, strength, honesty, dignity, transparency, meek, peaceful, submissive, and endless creativity. The Virtuous Woman is the gold standard of womanhood. The Proverbs 31 woman.
Although, this woman is extremely rare…. I knew her, she was in the form of a woman I knew named Gavina, who passed away some years ago. Gavina was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, she was the mother of my fiancé that also passed away sometime before her. What was most striking about Gavina, was her obvious physical beauty but there was something much deeper about her. The way she carried herself, she was exquisitely modest in attire, very meek, humble, and honest. She reverenced her husband, never spoke bad of anyone, was shame faced in the mist of other men. She taught what it is to be a real lady, a virtuous woman. Her influence in my life but for a short time taught me a lot of what I know today. She taught me of destiny and patience, of true love winning over adversity. Most would say that this beloved lady was very unique. I had never met anyone like her. She was the pattern and I was the fabric. These are the attributes she passed on to me:
A woman of great faith. (Proverbs 31: 26) She called her husband Lord and treated him as such. (Proverbs 31: 11- 12) She was a good mother. (Proverbs 31: 28) She kept her family healthy ( Leviticus 11) She had a servant’s heart. (Proverbs 31: 12) She handled the finances of home and purchasing. (Proverbs 31: 14) She was a homemaker. A Virtuous Woman is a homemaker. She creates an inviting atmosphere of warmth and love for her family and guests. She uses hospitality to minister to those around her (Proverbs 31: 27) She possessed a true Beauty (Proverbs 31: 10)
Brown Beauty Personified
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. -psalms 139:14 We were knit together in our mother’s womb, merely first a thought of the Most High, we are Chosen. Our eyes run deep with history and our skin is marred with majestic different shades of brown melanin- ated beauty. Our hair is wooly as the hair of sheep while dancing as the waves of the black sea. We are royalty, adored and emulated.. We are Chosen.
The Truth. So you have it the truth..
The world standard of beauty was suppose to be us, the Chosen people of the Most High. And this is why there's a difference between black women conforming to “Eurocentric white Beauty Standards” and white women filtration of annexation of what is considered beautiful. It is not by chance when a white woman emulate a curly hairstyle, darken her skin, how to apply padding or get injections for fuller lips or her bottom it becomes a fashion trend of the moment, a declaration of some sort. That goes to show you that black people are the trendsetters, they follow us, they like our looks (even though they try to hide this truth.) But what really astonishes me how ignorant and conditioned we are to think that lighter skin or even white skin is equated to the standard of beauty, and that dark skin is considered ugly. Why Mr. Willie Lynch I think they got it. So the world hates us, our color, our hair texture but most of all, we hate ourselves.
The Sorrow of Kim
Kim says, “I feel for the guy he didn’t compliment my beauty he didn’t make me feel like a Queen. He often had a wondering eye you always felt the need to compete. He spoke ill of me in front of his friends and his family. He had no job and I worked to support us both. Sadly, I wasted 10 years of your life waiting for him to love me, to love my hair, my dark skin but most of all my strength and loyalty to him. He looked at white women a lot always remarked how beautiful they were I often felt insecure in his presence. He raped me often when I didn’t give in to his advances, sometimes he struck and bruised my face then laughed as my mascara dipped down my cheeks. It hard to believe that a black man would exude hate towards the black woman is they do today in 2017. I am in the truth now and I know I am better than that! I left him.” Let this testimony be a lesson to the Sisters out there, to wait on your King. The Most High will bring him your way. As we pray for finances, jobs, safety, health etc. Its so important to pray for a man that fears the Most High, that fears the Most High, is a strong tower/a leader that will respect and love you as the Savior loved the Church.
Teach your daughters
As a child, I knew that I was special, everyone around me told me so. I made a decision early on to keep my virginity until marriage. I remembered when I got my period for the first time, my mother, told me that no man was worthy of my body, and at that point I made a decision to maintain my virginity until marriage. Through, this experience I learned that boys and men had a lot of respect for me, and they did a lot of things for me. I never had to open my legs to win their favor. They showered me with attention, affection, and gifts. Your daughters are a gift that needs to be taught the facts of life, that she is special, who she is in the Most High and her purpose. Teach your daughters. We need to teach our daughters to distinguish between: A man who flatters her and a man who compliments her. --- Oh baby you so fine I’ll drink your bath water (wrong) --- You are fearfully and wonderfully made (right) A man who spends money on her and a man who invests in her. ---I bought you this coat now what you going to give me (wrong) --- I feel the Most High is leading me to give you this (right) A man who views her as property and a man who views her properly. --- you are mine so lay down and give me what I want (wrong) --- you are a virtuous women (right) A man who lusts after her and a man who loves her. --- you are wearing those jeans (wrong) --- you are a child of the Most High I love you.(right) A man who believes he’s a gift to women and a man who believes she’s a gift to him. --- I can have any women I want, you are blessed to have me (wrong) --- You are bone of my bone flesh of my flesh O daughter of Zion. (right) And then teach our sons to be that kind of man. --- A man that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing! (right)
Sex, the spiritual Aspect. Wife - Covering Harlot - Sex with no covering Are you moaning for Jerry, latching out for no reason at all, longing for a man that has done you wrong. Enough is Enough! Not only is having sex out of marriage which is fornication (see Dilemma 9) but your developing soul ties (Dilemma 9) while the transfer of energy is real. If you’re constantly surrounded by interacting with, having sex with pouring feelings & yourself into an person that is not your husband it will eventually affect you spiritually. When a man enters your womb, unlawfully, you exchange in a ritual. The changing of spirits. You become tied to him in the soulish realm, this domain is only meant for marriage. Know your worth & surround yourself with people the encourage you to do what is right. These people won’t leave you spiritually empty from sexual relationships. He is not worthy of you until marriage.
Our Skin
Basking in the hot sun for hours While becoming sun kissed to perfection The salt of our tears raped our face As we picked cotton in the southern heat No other skin could take such a beating Like the Melanin in our skin. Our skin is just like butter burned making you want to devour it Symbolic of the melting of dark chocolate How sweet it is Some is like coffee with milk while others are like hot chocolate Only one term to describe the beauty and dimension of the colors of our skin Resplendently Like the melanin in our skin.
“What foundation do you use?” or “What pantyhose are you wearing?” are questions I used to get quit often, it is the melanin in my skin that inspired the endless compliments on my skin. Melanin is the fundamental unit of the universe and exist in four forms: Cosmic, Planetary, plant kingdom (chlorophyll) and animal kingdom melanin. Melanin is black (carbon) because its chemical structure allows no energy to escape.. making black melanin the super absorber of energy and light. Melanin is found in almost every organ of body and is necessary in order for the brain and nerves to operate, the eyes to see, and the cells to reproduce. Melanin can rearrange its chemical structure to absorb all energy across the raiant energy spectrum (i.e. sunligh, Xirays, music, sound, radar, radio waves etc) The black human can charge up his/her melanin just by being in the sun or around the right type of musical sounds or other energy sources. Our body is electrical, currents of nerves sending signals through our brain daily. Melanin itself, on a philosophical plane, is a black chemical/biological door through which the life force of African spirituality passes in moving from the spirit to the material realm. You will we learn to accept and embrace the fact that Black is not only beautiful but it comes in a variety of different shades, textures, and tones; None of which is better or worse than the other. Proof of a creator? You exist and there are no copies of you anywhere. The facial features of a person of color is more pronounced than any other nation around the world. Did you know that many white people in the Americas tan their skin and are vast consumers of tanning bronzing gels etc. Just the other day I saw a white woman at my local market she was as dark as me, but with a orangey tint to her face. So with the lie that states that dark skin is less desired but the hate is more a product of self - hatred and taught behavior, then a total social preference. There is a reason we have been conditioned this way.
My conversation with Pascal, a professional photographer from France
Q: What is it like to work with models/people of color?
Pascal: Let me start with you.. photographing you and applying makeup to your face what a pleasure, you have the most beautiful eyes, face, and skin. Up close your so physically beautiful, physically compelling, I’m hypnotized by your good looks. Your skin always so soft, smooth and creamy like churned butter, I love your light skin color. Woman of color are the most exquisite creatures on earth, the skin is so deep and rich, they are the best to work with.
Q: Do you have a preference light or dark?
Pascal: No but in my work, the darker the girl is the more light she becomes to the camera like a rare occurrence with light. Dark skin really is the best.
The Good Hair/Bad Hair Myth
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.1 Corinthians 11:15 Black hair is a target of the ism, known as “texturism.” The question is “why has the world scrutinized our hair?” While we are burning it with chemicals and heating tools, and tearing it out with weaves and glue. For 400 years +, the general population of black people have been imparted to by white people that their hair texture and skin is superior to that of black hair and black skin. This welcomed the birth of hair obsession. A majority of blacks perceive straight, silky and downy hair as best. When in fact, wooly hair is scientifically superior to straight hair. Coiled hair acts as antennae conducting the electromagnetic energies of the sun. These are the benefits that our ancestors had in the cotton fields in intense heat. Kinky, afros, nappy, curly, pressed, permed, weaves or silken flow? What is our obsession with hair and how does it effect our perceptions of what is considered attractive? This differentiation of various textures of hair that disregards our hair as being good that sociological programming still continues today. For as long as I remember people often asked me after examining my mid back length hair, “Is all that hair yours?” or “Do you have Indian in your family?“ In the literally sense of logic or even common sense what they are saying to me is that a black female can’t have long hair unless she is mixed with something. Now this thought process was first initiated by Willie Lynch back in slavery times and is still relevant today. So the term “Nappy” was created by the white man and was adopted for centuries by black people but in reality our hair has a helix (spiral) pattern. It's the same pattern as whirlwinds and sound waves and DNA. Our hair is meant to grow outward as a tree, not downward like a cascading waterfall. When our hair is given proper care, it's fluffy soft. Not only that, our hair is high-volume, high-definition. Our hair doesn't hang down, it's not limp, lifeless and flat, it never lacks volume, and you'll never see a sister wearing a "bump-it" to get the illusion of voluminous hair. We don't need it. We can take our hair from kinky to curly to wavy to straight and back to kinky again, if that's our desire. Our hair can even defy gravity, and do so naturally. Others can't. Our hair is a glorious crown, the "original" crown. Look how a crown is designed! So, when you see these so called European royalty women wearing a crown. They are imitating the beauty of our hair! Wow isn’t that amazing! For black women, the straight hair bias is the culprit of texture prejudice that privileges the white woman’s texture as the supreme texture of hair. Black women are not aware that our hair is rich with soil, the color of dark chocolate, rises to the sky, vastness as space, coiled to perfection, and a mystery of the Most High. My interview with Khaifa Musfai , a professor of African American Studies
Q. Do you think that as children we are programmed to say that our hair is bad?
Khaifa: Yes I remember my mother said to my sister about her kinky hair, you need to get your hair done by that she meant to straightened it by perms of straightening combs. As a man I grow up conditioned to perceive black hair as something bad that needed to be fixed. I used to look at the women on the commercial and think that was beauty, it was not until I because a student of consciousness that I realize my thinking was wrong. In fact with most of my students when asked about black hair - 43% (over 200 male black students) said they prepared black women with their natural hair, apart from wigs, weaves, and perms. While 57 % preferred the look of Caucasian straight hair as most attractive and 90% voted that this was conditioned by slavery misconceptions and fallacies about our hair.
Redefining the standard of beauty in terms of hair.
I must admit I love running my fingers through my hair while showering, the curls embrace my face as the water runs the length on my back. I get attention on the comeliness of my hair they suggests that its a prized possession but in reality, to my nation it’s a god. Yes it is possible to worship hair, I have never been guilty of such worship.. frankly, I always had long hair. It was never a concern of mine. But for many of my sisters it is, after all, its our crowning glory. The black women have always been guilty of false glory due to the fact that you are adorning your head with someone else’s glory. How do we get our own glory? By nourishing our own glory and owning it. I know we own our cars, clothes, or even homes but we must own our hair. We must be thankful and take care of what the Most High gave us. The hair texture closely associated with European straight hair is consider almost heavenly good and esteemed most attractive. This straight hair blowing in the wind, cascading down the back, smooth to touch, and easy to comb. Is this perfection? How can this hair be the best? Willie Lynch is to blame on this one dividing and conquering the slaves based on hair texture. But who says this is true? The fault lies with the mother who never taught the daughter the beauty of her hair. The world has brought into this lie, pure and simple for some there is no turning back from this theory. In West Africa, Nigeria to be specific the boys and young girls cut their hair off not to deal with the texture and opt to wear wigs. While in the United States black women are literally tearing their hair out of their heads through the wearing of weave so they can slang it back and forth. The ignorance of our people is surely devastating to know that something that created with sheer brilliance is a beast of pardon to many.
My conversation with a random woman I encountered at a boutique.
Woman: Girl you got some good hair --- Me: All hair is good. Woman: I wish my hair was long and pretty like yours. Your so pretty. Me: Your hair is pretty. Woman: But not like yours Me: You know that is a fallacy created by our people that goes back to slavery. There is no good or bad hair. The Most High created all hair and its good. (That comment left her speechless and puzzled there was no reply) The contemptuous terms such as 'good hair' or 'bad hair' came out of era of slavery, during the Willie Lynch period, where slaves were put into groups according to lightness of skin and hair textures the closer your hair was to Caucasian hair the better you were perceived in being that meant you would be considered “a house negro” and receive preferential treatment than the darker slaves. I was taught I had bad hair, so I relaxed it and added weave now I am bald headed --- Brittany (31 year old black woman) I wish my parents would have taught me that my hair wasn’t bad --- Erica Wilson (18 year old female) Our hair is our crowning glory there are numerous textures of hair that black people have due to genetics and interracial rations. There are many textures of black hair such as wooly or curly texture.
3 a - fine curl pattern 3 b - medium curl pattern 3 c - loose curly pattern 4a - thicker curly pattern 4b - thicker medium pattern 4c - medium curly pattern 4d - excessively tighter curls
A Fact about black hair: It keeps you cool and protects you from the sun. Our hair is our crowning glory there are numerous textures of hair that black people have due to genetics and interracial rations. There is more money spend on hair care around the world then products to actually make the hair grow. There is no such thing as bad hair, the strains of our hair was created by the Most High and trust me, he knew what He was doing in creation but through colonization and the media which suggests that long bone straight flowing hair is most attractive. We as people have bought into that “Lie” yes I said it, that lie because that is what it is. You have been brainwashed into thinking that excessively curly or wooly hair isn’t as good as straight hair. The Savior of this world has wooly hair. My nation is so ignorant, how they talk about their hair. All hair is good. Embrace your wool. I was taught I had bad hair, so I relaxed it and added weave now I am bald headed --- Brittany (31 year old black woman) I wish my parents would have taught me that my hair wasn’t bad --- Erica Wilson (18 year old female) There is nothing better than a black woman that wears her natural hair --- Jonathan (white male married to a black woman)
Often people ask me if my hair is real because its thick and long
Male Store clerk: Is all that hair yours? Me: Yes Male Store clerk: Can I touch it? Today in 2017, I walk proudly with my hair covered at times, it gives the mystery of what is underneath. Is it short or is it long? In late 18th century Louisiana, black women were ordered to cover their hair in public. This system was called the "Bando du buen gobierno," "Edict for Good Government." These rules were meant to change certain so called “unacceptable” behaviors of the free black women. specifically overly ostentatious hairstyles,(designed to impress or attract notice) of which drew the attention of white men, and the jealousy of white women. These rules are called the “Tignon Laws” A tignon (pronounced “tiyon”) is a headdress. They are still doing this today! Where a lot of people go on interviews and are being turned away because of their natural hair, The employers say they must straighten their hair. But finally we are waking back up to our beauty! They even fear our hair! When wearing a weave or perming your hair you are playing roulette with your hair please handle with care. -- Diane (my hairdresser) The Beauty Monopoly
The Supermodel
Your earth shatteringly gorgeous. --- Emmitel I was that girl with the big hair, the fitted black dress that defined all my curves, the mascara that took my big eyes to a whole other level, the red lips that accentuated my white teeth more. I walked and stalked every bit of ground in which I walked. I was praised and everyone worshiped the ground in which I walked on. I enjoyed the looks, the compliments, and the perks with being considered as pretty as a diamond.
The Plain Jane
I like you with your up-dos your naturally pretty but with your hair down your absolutely mind-numbing.--- Jake Simmons I was the girl with the hair in the pony tail, the sweats that hide my figure, no mascara to pop my big eyes out further. My lips plain no shine. I walked and walked. I was praised for being pretty but not to the level of a supermodel like before. I still get the looks here and there, some compliments, and just few perks with being considered as a diamond in the rough. Same women but with different attire, one enhanced, the other natural. So with that said, which is better? Well the world will tell you to put more emphasis on your outward appearance but the Most High says, “Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;1 Peter 3:3.”
